What is a TEMO pod?

A pod is a compact and lightweight electric propulsion system mounted under your boat’s hull, which can be fixed or steerable, combining power, maneuverability, and discretion.

TEMO’s OUTPOD™ combines the advantages of a pod and a tilting electric outboard, installed outside the boat, typically directly on the transom.

The SEASIDE by TEMO pod range brings together all these configurations, offering an intuitive French electric solution for all types of boats, from leisure craft to professional vessels.

What range can I expect from a TEMO pod or OUTPOD™?

TEMO systems are compatible with TEMO batteries, which are modular and can be connected in parallel. Each battery has a capacity of 2.3 kWh, weighs 12 kg, and can be easily recharged from a shore power or domestic outlet. As semi-open systems, TEMO solutions can also be paired with partner stationary batteries. Range depends on the number of batteries connected, allowing you to use one or several depending on your needs.

We estimate a runtime of approximately 2 hours 50 minutes with a 2.3 kWh TEMO battery when using a 1,100 W motor.

Is installing a TEMO pod or OUTPOD™ simple?

Installation of the SEASIDE by TEMO range is plug & play, meaning you receive all the necessary components, tailored to your needs, to set it up without requiring additional equipment. However, basic electrical knowledge is recommended if you plan to carry out the installation yourself.

How do I install the electronic components of TEMO pods?

SEASIDE range pods feature separate electronic units designed for plug & play installation. Their connectors, both robust and waterproof, simplify installation while ensuring system reliability.

What materials are used in TEMO pods?

The motor units are protected by an aluminum housing, ensuring high durability. TEMO motors are equipped with fiber-reinforced plastic propellers, with an optional folding bronze propeller available. Waterproofing is ensured by a seal system, providing a highly robust structure and minimal maintenance for up to 1,500 hours.
