TEMO, winner of the i-Nov – France 2030 competition: a new impetus for decarbonized marine propulsion

TEMO, a French pioneer in electric propulsion for boats, is proud to announce its selection as a winner of the i-Nov competition as part of the France 2030 plan. This distinction crowns six years of research, industrial production and international development , driven by a strong vision: to offer a sustainable, high-performance and accessible alternative to thermal propulsion.

Thanks to this strategically significant public support , TEMO is taking a new step in the development of its range of electric motors. The goal: to decarbonize even more boats , while preserving the company's DNA and the excellence of its French expertise.

Engines designed to last and designed with the environment in mind.

The funds allocated by France 2030 will allow TEMO to accelerate innovation around its engines, by strengthening its technological pillars:

• Energy efficiency and frugality : increasingly powerful electric machines combined with an ultra-optimized propulsion system
• Robustness and durability : innovative sealing systems for improved long-term performance, even under extreme conditions of use.
• Total repairability : every component is replaceable, extending the lifespan of the engines and limiting the environmental impact at the end of their life.
• Intelligent electronic system and BMS combined with high-performance modular batteries, for charge/discharge scenarios adapted to usage and a reduction in the amount of lithium on board.
• Energy versatility : optimizing charging through all available means (solar, shore power, regeneration, wind power)
• Respect for the marine ecosystem : constant reduction of the vibro-acoustic signature to limit the impact on fauna and flora
