"At the right price"
"The price of quality"
"Outrageously expensive"
"A bit pricey but really good"
There's a lot of talk about the selling price of the TEMO·450. While some people have a good understanding of the cost of manufacturing a high-quality industrial product in France , it's worth reviewing the cost structure of the TEMO·450. This is done with complete transparency to avoid any misunderstandings.

First, let's remember a key point: 70% of the value of the TEMO·450 is spent in France . Assembly, aluminum tubing, plastic parts, machining, textile accessories, electronic circuit board… all these components are purchased from French companies. Of course, this doesn't mean that these suppliers source all their raw materials in France, but we are doing our utmost, on our scale, to support the local industry.
Made in France, Certified French Origin Guaranteed .

That said, as you might have guessed, some components come from Asia, due to a lack of suitable alternatives in France that meet our requirements. This is particularly true for the charger, the gauge, the battery, and part of the motor assembly.
One thing all these elements have in common: the demand for quality .
At TEMO, every sub-assembly is selected from the highest quality materials. The motor block, for example, alone costs over €160 because we prioritize the best materials, meticulous assembly techniques, and optimal sealing to guarantee performance and durability. This philosophy applies to the entire TEMO·450 electric motor.
TEMO·450: the right price for quality.
So how do we arrive at a selling price of €1,590 ? Here are the details.

Behind every TEMO·450 sold, there is much more than an engine: there is an ecosystem.
Of the €253 gross margin generated by each unit, TEMO finances the salaries of its employees, premises, insurance, banking partners, but also all the communication necessary to promote the product.
In addition to this, there are heavy investments: technical studies, certifications, continuous improvement, plastic injection molds, tooling and industrial processes… all for around €50, in order to stay at the forefront and, ideally, generate some profit to prepare for the future.
The distributors, who do a remarkable job, have warehousing costs, salaries, rent, insurance, investments, taxes, and all sorts of other expenses. All of this allows them to offer you local service and valuable advice in choosing your electric boat motor.
As for VAT, it is incompressible, necessary and fair.
You have the power!
Some will say that when we Selling on our website or through a more direct distribution method results in much higher profit margins. And that's true.
But the reality is that this represents only a tiny fraction of our sales (less than 5%), and this additional margin is a welcome boost to the company's finances. It allows us to maintain a direct relationship with our customers, to understand them better, and to develop our product range based on their feedback .
That's the true price of a product.
Tomorrow, there may be much cheaper copies made in Asia. But remember: choosing a TEMO product means choosing quality, innovation, and French production that respects workers' rights .
It is an act of purchase, but also an act of citizenship; it is the responsibility of the consumer-actor .
