We are often asked how we pack so much power into such a light, small, and stylish motor. We can't reveal everything, but our technology is based on three fundamental principles.

To avoid unnecessary clutter, we designed the TEMO·450 outboard motor around two main components : the motor and the integrated battery. We redesigned everything else, whereas other manufacturers of electric outboard motors usually replicate the design and architecture of internal combustion outboards.
Thus, by reconsidering everything around the propulsion function, we arrived at an efficient, streamlined and lightweight design.
Energy efficiency.
The majority of the TEMO·450's weight is distributed between the battery and the motor. Therefore, we needed to optimize the propulsion unit to minimize the amount of lithium battery used. This was achieved with a 450W motor, specifically designed to be lightweight and portable, yet capable of providing enough power to propel any type of small boat for 45 minutes at full power. We focused our efforts on the motor's torque and the propeller design to ensure optimal performance and limit energy consumption .
