TEMO’s OUTPOD™ combines the advantages of a pod and a tilting electric outboard, installed outside the boat, typically directly on the transom.

Yes. Thanks to direct drive, electric pods reduce mechanical losses and optimize power delivery, improving overall energy efficiency.

No. Unlike gasoline engines, electric pods do not require oil, fuel, or filter replacements. Maintenance is therefore minimal, reducing costs and making life easier for boaters. TEMO pods are designed to operate for up to 1,500 engine hours with minimal maintenance, thanks to a design focused on repairability, recyclability, and high-quality customer support.

Yes. Their compact and modular design frees up space on board: only the motor unit is submerged, allowing for natural cooling, while the batteries and control units remain inside the boat. Only the throttle and display are installed outside.

Yes. Electric pods produce no direct emissions, generate no noise, reduce water pollution, and require minimal maintenance. They can be recharged using renewable energy sources, offering cleaner and more environmentally friendly navigation.

The motor units are protected by an aluminum housing, ensuring high durability. TEMO motors are equipped with fiber-reinforced plastic propellers, with an optional folding bronze propeller available. Waterproofing is ensured by a seal system, providing a highly robust structure and minimal maintenance for up to 1,500 hours.

TEMO systems are compatible with TEMO batteries, which are modular and can be connected in parallel. Each battery has a capacity of 2.3 kWh, weighs 12 kg, and can be easily recharged from a shore power or domestic outlet. As semi-open systems, TEMO solutions can also be paired with partner stationary batteries. Range depends on the number of batteries connected, allowing you to use one or several depending on your needs.

We estimate a runtime of approximately 2 hours 50 minutes with a 2.3 kWh TEMO battery when using a 1,100 W motor.
