Stay tuned: with the return of sunny days, we're preparing a tour of France's most beautiful anchorages.
First stop: Brittany, the birthplace of TEMO, where hundreds of idyllic spots await you.
From the Ebihens archipelago to Belle-Ile, find out now the magnificent places where you will take out your TEMO.
Explore the Ebihens archipelago.
A jewel of the Côtes d'Armor , the Ebihens archipelago stretches across some twenty hectares north of Saint-Jacut-de-la-Mer. In the southeast of the island, between the Pointe de la Chapelle and the Rochers des Jumeliaux, lies a peaceful bay with turquoise waters. In less than an hour, you can discover this multifaceted island, where, nestled among heathland, undergrowth, and white sand beaches, you'll find a Vauban tower, a chapel, and a handful of houses.
Stay on the marked trails: the island's owners are fighting to preserve the natural and historical heritage of this exceptional place. At low tide, you can even walk to the mainland!
Anchorage, well sheltered from north, west, and southwest winds. Note that this anchorage is exposed at low tide! Keelboats can turn back just above, on the east coast of the main island.
Sleep in "The Room" on the island of Bréhat.
Its very name is an invitation to calm! "La Chambre" is located in the South of the island, in a small corridor between Bréhat and its neighbor Logodec.
The buoys make it easy to reach the island via the slipway. What's striking about Bréhat is that at every turn, the view becomes more beautiful and the gardens more vibrant with flowers. A few convenience stores, bars, and restaurants make it a very pleasant stopover in every respect.
Mooring on buoys, payable in season. Good protection from northeast winds.
Experience the tranquility of the Pays des Abers.
Looking for authenticity? In the far northwest of Finistère, the Aber Benoît and Aber Wrac'h estuaries carve into the coastline, offering peaceful havens for boaters. This captivating region unfolds its character between land and sea, shaped by the elements. You can sail up the Aber Wrac'h to Paluden to enjoy the village's charm. Nature lovers will appreciate the tranquility of the Aber Benoît: once past its choppy entrance, you can drop anchor peacefully or moor to buoys for a restful night. Don't forget to sample the local oysters, renowned for over a century for their unique hazelnut flavor and lingering taste.
Mooring on a paid buoy. Anchoring possible towards the end of the Aber Benoît estuary. Sheltered in all weather.
Diving in translucent waters south of Crozon.
Crozon, Finistère. To the southwest stretches a rocky point ending in Cap de la Chèvre. Head east, roughly equidistant between the cape and Morgat, and you'll find yourself on Île Vierge. Except that it's actually a peninsula with caves to explore at low tide… a heads-up for explorers!
Translucent water, rugged landscapes, wild beaches and bucolic walks: a 100% nature stopover not to be missed.
Anchorage. The cove of Saint-Norgard offers good protection against north and northwest winds. North of Île Vierge, the cove of Saint-Hernot is ideal for sheltering from westerly winds.
The Glénans: a night in Tahiti in Brittany.
In the heart of the archipelago, "La Chambre" offers everything you need for an excellent overnight stay. Located near Saint-Nicolas Island, it allows you to explore the island or perhaps enjoy a drink on the terrace of one of the archipelago's two restaurants.
Paradise beaches and picture-perfect sunsets guaranteed!
Anchorage available. Mooring on a buoy is also available for a fee. "La Chambre" will shelter you from northeast, north, and northwest winds. On the other side of Île Saint-Nicolas, "La Pie" offers an excellent alternative in west, south, and southeast winds. These spots are very popular during the summer season: if you want to spend the night, arrive early!
North of Belle-Ile, Stêr-Vraz and Stêr-Ouen.
The Stêrs – Breton for river – are perfect havens for boaters. Those north of Belle-Île offer good protection from the prevailing winds, in a stunning setting. Lovers of fine sand will be captivated by Stêr-Vraz beach. This stopover can also be the starting point for a hike to Pointe des Poulains to enjoy a breathtaking view.
Anchorage. Stêr-Vraz: good protection from east and south winds. Stêr-Ouen, narrower, also has some mooring lines ashore and protects from west to northeast winds.
