DESCRIPTION

The keel of the TEMO·1000 is an essential technical component to extend the lifespan of your TEMO electric motor.

Its end is reinforced by a stainless steel piece, specially designed to prevent the engine block from resting directly on the ground. This reinforcement effectively limits the risk of cracks, scratches, or deformation when the engine is placed on the ground.
During navigation, the keel plays an equally crucial role. In the event of a collision with a submerged obstacle (rocks, branches, uneven bottom), the stainless steel reinforcement acts as a protective barrier: the keel absorbs the impact and preserves the mechanical integrity of the engine block.

Subjected to constant stress, the keel can wear out or become damaged over time. To ensure continued protection of your engine, we recommend regularly inspecting this part and replacing it at the first signs of wear.

Replacing the keel does not require complete disassembly of the engine block.
