The TEMO·1000 outboard motor was designed to be powerful and practical, capable of moving boats up to 1.5 tons.
 
Protecting your outboard motor is essential, whether at anchor or in port. The TEMO anti-theft kit effectively deters theft attempts while offering peace of mind thanks to the 3 padlocks and 2 rods. 

The TEMO·1000 anti-theft kit has been specially designed to meet this security requirement by locking the three key elements of your TEMO·1000 motor: the battery, the motor, and the motor mount.

The anti-theft kit is simple to install; it perfectly integrates with the TEMO·1000's design without compromising your ease of use.

 

How to use the anti-theft kits for the TEMO·1000 electric motor?

  1. Battery protection:
    The first metal bar is inserted into the through-hole provided on the motor cover.
    This is then locked with the first padlock, making it impossible to remove the battery.

  2. Locking the motor to the motor mount:
    The second level of security concerns attaching the motor block to the motor mount. A second metal rod passes through the mounting arms (same location as the safety rod), locked by a padlock.
    The motor is thus held securely and cannot be detached without the key.

  3. Securing the motor mount to the boat:
    Finally, the third padlock locks the tightening screws of the motor mount on your transom.
    Once locked, these screws cannot be loosened, making it impossible to remove the motor mount from the boat.

Can I secure my TEMO·1000 against theft?

An anti-theft kit, including two padlocks and three locking pins, is available for purchase in our Accessories section. It allows you to secure all detachable components of your motor, such as the battery, the motor arm, or its mount on your boat.

How do I mount the TEMO·1000 on my boat?

The TEMO·1000 comes with a universal motor mount, compatible with most transoms thanks to its two ergonomic clamp screws. If your transom is wider, TEMO offers an optional extended screw length, available on the spare parts page.

The shaft height can be easily adjusted using the integrated mounting point on the motor, allowing you to perfectly set the immersion for your boat. Trim can also be adjusted directly at the mount fixed to the transom, optimizing vertical alignment and performance.

Is the TEMO·1000 suitable for my boat?

Comparable to a 3 HP gasoline engine, it delivers equivalent performance while being lighter, quieter, and more comfortable to use. With 27 kg of static thrust, it easily propels dinghies carrying up to 6 people, rowboats, sailing dinghies, as well as sailboats up to 8 meters or 1.5 tons. It easily fits most transoms thanks to its motor mount.
