Our adventure was born from a simple belief: boating must rhyme with respect for the sea. Less hydrocarbon pollution, fewer air emissions... and less noise.
There are many avenues for improvement and TEMO is committed to developing engines that are ever quieter to the ear and more respectful beneath the surface. The objective is clear: to reduce every unnecessary decibel so that our engines blend into the natural murmur of the ocean, preserving the life that thrives within it.
On the water, everyone knows that an electric motor is quieter than a combustion engine. But what about below the surface? Are the effects the same? And what does marine wildlife truly experience? The answers are rare, especially in the world of recreational boating.
| So at TEMO, we sought to learn more and better understand the sound emissions generated by boat engines — both combustion and electric. |
They are committed with us.

| What if we crossed the Atlantic... by swimming? This is the crazy but incredibly inspiring challenge that Chloé and Matthieu, the faces behind the Swim for Change project, have set for themselves. | ![]() |
TEMO·1000, the engine that whispers to the ears of Swim for Change swimmers!
TEMO·1000 aboard Marc Guillemot's MG5.
When electric innovation meets a committed sailor, it results in a meaningful collaboration. TEMO France is partnering with skipper Marc Guillemot, an iconic figure in responsible sailing, by equipping the dinghy of his MG5 catamaran with a TEMO·1000 electric motor.
