TEMO presents its new range of SEASIDE electric pods

The electric propulsion specialist based in Brittany will take advantage of the Metstrade nautical show in Amsterdam to present to professionals the 3 products in its new SEASIDE range. Three complete electric propulsion systems consisting of motor pods (450 W, 1000 W or 3000 W), removable batteries, and innovative controllers to power boats from 500 kg to 3 tons.

A Plug & Play, aesthetic and modular range.

In line with its DNA, TEMO has designed this new range of motors to be very simple to install, maintain, and completely modular to adapt to each type of boat.

• 3 power options à la carte: 450 W, 1000 W or 3000 W delivered in a PODS architecture at the cutting edge of performance and waterproofing thanks to innovative components
• 2 control consoles to choose from: with or without a screen console and remote control

• 1 modular multi-battery system, composed of cassettes installed in a rack that allows the boater to choose their autonomy and simultaneously power all onboard equipment. Each cassette can be quickly removed and recharged independently at the dock or at home.

Each technological building block of this SEASIDE range is made available to individuals or shipyards so that they can compose their entire system according to the desired power and autonomy. The strength of this new range lies in its modularity, energy efficiency, and technological innovation:

• Gland seal waterproofing, allowing an IP68 rating without a gasket, for greater shaft durability and better efficiency
• Latest generation "hairpin" stator for 88% efficiency and a better hydro-acoustic signature
• Custom-made propellers for thrust and speed
• Compatible with the main folding propellers on the market for sailboats
• Plug-and-play controller and screen
• Removable and interchangeable cassette batteries
• Battery pack designed to power onboard consumers and rechargeable by solar power

"With the SEASIDE range, we not only provide what we do best in marine propulsion with the latest generation technologies, but we also innovate by rethinking the entire onboard energy system so that the motor battery can also power all the equipment. Like the Tofinou shipyard, which worked together with the motor manufacturer to offer a full electric version of its 7.9-day boat, the Seaside range is able to perfectly adapt to the needs of manufacturers.

"We collaborated with TEMO to jointly consider an all-electric propulsion system for the latest addition to our range, the Tofinou 7.9," says Thomas Vignau, sales director at Tofinou, Rhéa Marine, and Wauquiez Yachts. "Our boats integrate a 3 kW pod with a pack of removable batteries allowing recharging at home on a simple standard power outlet (6 hours per charge). The batteries are charged individually, which makes it possible to keep a maximum reserve in the boat and often only have one battery to recharge. The advantage of the integration carried out by TEMO is the ability to house the control command directly at the end of the tiller, making motor steering very ergonomic and immediate."

The marketing of TEMO's SEASIDE range is launched for professional shipyards and available to the general public.
