TEMO unveils the T700, its new 700W electric outboard designed for tenders and lightweight boats. Compact, lightweight and quiet, it is suited to a wide range of recreational boating uses, from tenders and small leisure boats to recreational fishing, on coastal waters, lakes and rivers.
But the T700 is about more than specifications. It also introduces Open Machine Design, TEMO’s new design philosophy based on an open, modular and accessible architecture, created to make electric outboards easier to understand, maintain, repair and upgrade over time.
T700: a 700W electric outboard for tenders and lightweight boats
With 700W of power, the T700 has been designed to meet the needs of tenders and lightweight boats, with a strong focus on simplicity and ease of use.
Its removable 594 Wh battery provides approximately one hour of runtime at full power. Easy to remove, it also makes transport and charging more convenient.
At just 10 kg including the battery, of which the battery accounts for 3 kg, the T700 is easy to carry, install and store on board. Its foldable tiller can be adjusted to multiple positions to suit different boats and seating positions.
Its quiet operation and ease of use also make it particularly well suited to recreational fishing, as well as boating on lakes, rivers and inland waterways.
Open Machine Design: a machine with nothing to hide
Why should all the technology inside an electric outboard be hidden behind a closed casing?
With the T700, TEMO has taken the opposite approach.
Its structure is built around two structural aluminium side plates forming the skeleton of the outboard. Between them sit its main components: electric motor, controller, removable battery, display and throttle.
These components are designed as independent and accessible modules. Their functions are visible and easy to understand, and each module can be removed, serviced or replaced individually when necessary.
It is a deliberately simple and readable architecture built around one central idea: making the machine understandable to the person who uses it.

An electric outboard designed to be repaired
With Open Machine Design, repairability is not added afterwards: it is designed in from the start.
Direct access to components makes maintenance and local repairs easier for both boaters and marine professionals. When a component needs replacing, the idea is simple: replace only what is necessary rather than the entire outboard.
And unlike many electronic products, opening your T700 does not void its warranty.
The removable battery is also an independent module and can be replaced as a complete unit. For safety reasons, however, the battery pack itself must only be opened and serviced by TEMO or an authorised TEMO service partner.

An electric outboard designed to evolve over time
Being able to repair a product is one thing. Being able to upgrade it is another.
The T700 has been designed to allow worn parts to be replaced, individual components to be repaired and, whenever possible, future TEMO technologies to be integrated.
This approach aims to extend the useful life of the product and avoid unnecessary replacement.
Your T700 may change over time. But you don’t have to change your T700.
Open Machine Design therefore goes beyond maintenance alone: it offers a different way of thinking about the lifespan of an electric outboard.

Lightweight, compact and easy to use every day
This new architecture never loses sight of the T700’s primary purpose: to provide an electric outboard that is simple and enjoyable to use.
Its brushless, direct-drive inrunner motor provides quiet propulsion with fewer moving parts.
The twist-grip throttle provides intuitive forward and reverse control, while the onboard display gives you the essential information you need on the water.
Its universal transom mount allows quick installation, while its simple tilt system makes it easy to adjust the motor position.
Finally, its foldable tiller and low weight make the T700 easy to transport and store, whether on board, in a car or ashore.
Available in five colours, the T700 can also be customised to suit each owner’s style.

A New design, a more competitive industrial model
The Open Machine Design also enables TEMO to rethink the way its outboards are manufactured. A simpler architecture, fewer parts and independent modules make production and assembly more efficient, while preserving TEMO’s commitment to European manufacturing.
This new industrial approach translates directly into value: at €1,390 incl. VAT — €1.98/W and €2.34/Wh — the T700 sets a new benchmark in its category, combining premium engineering and high repairability at an exceptionally competitive price.
The T700 demonstrates that Made in Europe and built to last can also mean accessible.
The first deliveries are scheduled to begin in April 2027, just in time for the start of the boating season.

Open Machine Design: a philosophy beyond the T700
The T700 is the first TEMO product designed according to the principles of Open Machine Design, but the approach is intended to go much further.
TEMO plans to apply this philosophy to future products: creating electric machines that are more accessible and easier to understand, designed from the outset to be maintained, repaired and upgraded rather than replaced.
Because making boating more sustainable is not only about replacing combustion engines with electric propulsion.
It is also about designing electric products that are made to last.
World premiere at METSTRADE 2026
The TEMO T700 will make its world premiere at METSTRADE 2026 in Amsterdam, from 17 to 19 November, on the TEMO stand 05.230.
The T700 has also been submitted for the 2026 DAME Design Awards, METSTRADE’s international marine equipment design competition, with Open Machine Design at the heart of its entry.
A first opportunity to discover the T700 up close and experience a different way of thinking about the electric outboard.
Use it. Love it. Fix it. Keep it.
