DESCRIPTION

The skeg of the TEMO·1000 is a key technical component designed to extend the lifespan of your TEMO electric motor.

Its tip is reinforced with a stainless steel part, specifically designed to prevent the motor unit from resting directly on the ground. This reinforcement effectively reduces the risk of cracks, scratches, or deformation when the motor is placed on land.

During navigation, the skeg plays an equally important role. In the event of an impact with a submerged obstacle (rocks, branches, uneven seabeds), the stainless steel reinforcement acts as a protective barrier: the skeg absorbs the impact and preserves the mechanical integrity of the motor unit.

Subject to constant stress, the skeg may wear or become damaged over time. To ensure continuous protection of your motor, we recommend regularly inspecting this part and replacing it at the first signs of wear.

Replacing the skeg does not require complete disassembly of the motor unit.
