The TEMO·450 is an electric outboard motor for dinghies and dinghies. In this article, we will define its usage limitations and compatibility with various types of boats.

Boat tender.

Boat tenders are the core target market for our electric sculling oar.

Designed primarily for this purpose , this electric outboard motor is the ideal companion for short trips. Suitable for outboards up to approximately 2.60 m for 2-3 people with a little equipment, it will simplify your life.

On land, it's even possible to carry it with its bag. or secure it with anti-theft handcuffs . Not bad, right?

Other boats.

Our electric outboard motor is compatible with various types of boats thanks to its oarlock interface. It can be adapted for dinghy sailing . We recommend a boat weighing around 500 kg fully loaded under good conditions.

It is important that the transom is not too high (>40cm). For optimal performance, the motor's angle of attack should be a maximum of 30°. For example, this electric motor for dinghies may be suitable for beaching in calm conditions or maneuvering in port.

Finally, the TEMO·450 can be used on canoes or kayaks . It is strongly recommended to use a rudder to maintain maneuverability on the water. It is not recommended for use on paddleboards, as there is no suitable mounting system.

Climatic conditions.

This electric outboard motor propels boats at a hull speed of 3 knots. If the head current is less than 2.5 knots, the 450 version is suitable. Wind and chop should also be taken into account.

Test report: in the Breton current.

In general, anything you can do with a 2 HP combustion engine, rowing or sculling, our boat motor will do for you.
