Our adventure was born from a simple belief: boating must rhyme with respect for the sea. Less hydrocarbon pollution, fewer air emissions... and less noise.

There are many avenues for improvement and TEMO is committed to developing motors that are ever quieter to the ear and more respectful beneath the surface. The objective is clear: to reduce every unnecessary decibel so that our motors blend into the natural murmur of the ocean, preserving the life that thrives within it.

On the water, everyone knows that an electric motor is quieter than a combustion engine. But what about below the surface? Are the effects the same? And what does marine wildlife truly experience? The answers are rare, especially in the world of recreational boating.

So at TEMO, we sought to learn more and better understand the sound emissions generated by boat engines — both combustion and electric.
