The TEMO team is back from Florida, where IBEX, the trade show for marine professionals in the United States, was held.
At each edition, a jury from the marine industry rewards the most innovative products on the market from among a hundred nominees.
TEMO·450 once again stood out and won the prestigious Award in its "Electric/Battery-Powered Propulsion/Hybrid" category.

Recognition in France.

  • the Innovation Award at the Nautic Paris in 2019
  • the Grand Prix de l'innovation du Made in France in 2022

And also internationally.

  • the Dame Award at Metstrade Amsterdam in 2020
  • the Hutchwilco Boatshow Award Auckland in 2022
  • the Pittman Innovation Award in the USA in 2022
  • the Best in Show Award Annapolis in 2022
  • the IBEX Innovation Award Tampa in 2023

According to Steve Davis, a member of the Boating Writers International (BWI) jury for IBEX:
"The simple, lightweight design of the TEMO·450 electric motor is an innovative way to power small boats and dinghies. The tubular design with integrated motor and battery is waterproof, simple, efficient, and easy to mount and use."

For Justine Perussel, co-founder of TEMO, the unique design of the thruster explains its success in competitions: "TEMO·450 is a perfect 'showpiece' product, in the literal sense of the term. We always have great success and as much pleasure presenting it at shows. It creates a surprise effect. The public is first amazed to discover that it's a motor before grasping the ingenuity of such ergonomics in a second!"

TEMO·450 perfectly illustrates what electric can bring in terms of innovation in use and transportability.

A 3rd American award that demonstrates a remarkable entry into the US market.

The IBEX Innovation Award is the third major prize won by TEMO·450 in the United States. The motor had already impressed the juries of the famous Pittman Award in 2022 and the "Best in Show" in Annapolis. A remarkable entry into North America where TEMO has only been present since 2023.

The brand intends to build on this success to accelerate its development in the coming months. The company is currently looking to expand its dealer network and is actively recruiting a sales representative on site.
American boaters can already purchase TEMO·450 on the Defender Industries website.
